 Magazine cover credits include Outdoor Life, Field and Stream, Salt Water Sportsman, Lake Country Journal, North American Fisherman, In-Fisherman Ice Guide, Minnesota Volunteer and Krause Ice Guide, to just name a few.  My images represent advertising for Fishouflage, Frabill, Rapala, Aqua Vu, Gander Mountain and Maurice Sporting Goods including their attention-getting in-store displays and billboards.  I have filmed and produced product commercials for Rapala, Berkley/Pure Fishing Hummingbird, Frabill, Live Target Lures, Worth Land Tackle, Shimano, G. Loomis, Lund Boats, Stratos Boats, VMC Hooks  and In-Fisherman television and shot film for The History Channel (Modern Marvels), National Geographic, and the National Wildlife Federation.  Today I shoot many assignments for Lindner Media Productions.

I grew up in Chicago and moved to Brainerd, Minn as a teen and joined the fishing industry with my family as entrepreneurs.  It wasn't until later when I discovered a huge interest in the culinary arts as a whole, especially morel mushroom hunting and the inoculation process.  I have shot food layouts for over 50 cookbooks and countless consumer advertising pieces with The Hunting & Fishing Library, Cooking Club America, North American Fisherman, Minnesota Conservation and many more.

Recipes from Nature  is a culmination of my wife, Kay and my experiences in being drawn into the outdoors, the challenge and thrill of finding food, the joy of preparation, and the gratification of having a delicious meal from nature that nourishes the Body, Palate, and Soul. 
 
Foraging and gathering fresh ingredients from Nature-such as wild game, fish, mushrooms, fruits, vegetables, nuts, berries-is an increasingly popular outdoor activity. Now a unique cookbook helps make the most of those ultra-fresh ingredients.
 
Cooks are always looking for new recipes that include their fresh outdoor finds. This cookbook includes ingredients from throughout North America. Sidebars contain photos of ingredients in their natural state and insightful information about them.
